Sam Brown Officially Files for U.S. Senate

CARSON CITY, Nev. — Flanked by family and a group of supporters, retired U.S. Army Captain and Republican businessman Sam Brown officially filed his candidacy paperwork in the state capital on Thursday.

Sam Brown has attracted national support and attention as the GOP’s leading Republican candidate to take on incumbent Democrat Senator Jacky Rosen in the fall. His personal story of perseverance in the face of adversity has also been mirrored in his campaign, as he worked — against the odds — to build a statewide grassroots organization that propelled him to the forefront of polls and fundraising.

“We need leadership and representatives who understand the needs and concerns of Nevadans. I’m proud to sign up today to become the next U.S. Senator from the state of Nevada,” said U.S. Senate candidate Sam Brown to a group of family, friends, and supporters after the filing. “The Biden Administration and Democrat leadership in the Senate have not served Nevadans well. This is a movement of “We the People” and we are going to put people over politics.”

“When Nevadans have needed Jacky Rosen, she’s abandoned us — putting Joe Biden first and voting with her party over 95% of the time, over the best interests of our state and people,” said Kristy Wilkinson, Communications Director for Sam Brown for Nevada. “In November, Nevadans will stand with Sam Brown — a true champion for Nevada values and working families.”

Recent polls show Sam Brown and Jacky Rosen in a virtual tie, in what will be the closest watched U.S. Senate race in the country.
